Our Story
Four local Black women in Des Moines, Iowa, met in September of 2023 at a local coffee shop. We created a plan to transform the work of Black maternal and infant wellness and the overall health and well-being of Iowa families. Our unique experiences related to perinatal and mental health, combined with our desire to see a better future for families, fuel our why. We desire to see better outcomes and experiences for our families and retain providers and community workers who have an equal passion for communal care.
